Dear All,
Here is my story with a few (may be complicated) questions.
To cut the background short, I applied for a Ms degrees at uni
And the CAS team took a month and half long to issue me a CAS letter which put me under new rules which came into affect on 13 august that they started including all non term time period in 5 years cap and my visa was going to expire in oct 2015.
Going a year back, my mum visited me and got me engaged to my Pakistani but EEA national fiance. We had plan to get married in the first quarter of 2016. ( obviously even i had no clue that uni will messed up my visa situation).
So i went to a solicitor who then suggested me to give notice of intent to marry before applying for a temporary visa(flr) which we did.
The interviewer at council told us that she know its not a sham marriage since she could see our families with us but she said its now a general rule that they will have to refer to home office where one person is non EEA.
Less than A week later around 2nd nov we both got letters from home office that secretory of state have strong grounds to suspect that this is a sham marriage and that they will conduct an interview(they will send letters for this interview) before 26th dec. for which they needed our emails and contact numbers. My solicitor did all that on our behalf.
Now its 22nd december, and we have received nothing from them. No invitation for any interview and only 4 days left out of the deadline they have given us which includes bank holidays.
I needed to ask you guys what in your opinion can happen next? I am not scared of any interview since its an arranged marriage and been arranged since a year and that i have all the proof of my conversation from Uni which messed up my visa and put me in a little awkward situation.
I have already almost completed my 70 days notice period timr and no interview is been taken yet.
My another question is that my employer has finally asked me about my current status and all i have is an acknowledgement letter for that flr application. In case my employer needs to confirm from ho if i am eligible to work 20 hrs as per my previous leave, will they confirm them? My solicitor thinks they will and should do so.
I am sorry for such a long story but i tried my best to cut it short.
Please give your kind advise
Regards
