EU Family Permit - What Happens if UK Leaves EU?

Hi all

Apologies if this has been discussed. With all the drama surrounding UKs EU membership I am curious, worried actually, as to how this will affect those who have a spouse here based on the EU Family Permit visa.

My wife's EU FP visa is due to expire this coming November. In an ideal world UK would remain with the EU bloc and we can, hopefully, renew her visa under the same process. The question I have, and I appreciate we can't currently know for sure, just speculate, is what if the UK were to leave the EU, how would this affect us and others?
