Permanent Residence

Hi,

I'm a German student with a big question about the permanent residence. I would like to apply to get this proof (especially before they might drop out of the EU) to get the permanent residence card.

As far as I know I need to show that I have been living 5 years here and being either:
working
self-employed
self-sufficient
studying
looking for work

Now to my question: I can show that I studied for the whole period (PGDip and PhD) and that I had a EHIC. Do I need to show that I had sufficient funds? If so, what counts as sufficient funds for students (I have a German student loan, worked for 250 GBP / month remotly for a German University + working as pastoral stuff, and tutor with fluctuating income)?

I really hope you can help me. It would be nice if you could give me as much details as possible in the case I need to show how much funds are necessary...

Hi, thank you but the document doesn't tell me what exactly "sufficient funds" are. I had a German student loan + part time job in Germany (I worked via Internet) and made about 700 GBP. Later I joined Glasgow Uni and became a tutor + pastoral staff member (maybe 300 GBP more per month). Is that enough? Are there certain rules and limits I need to consider (something similar to the Tier 4 applications, e.g. covering tuition fees + 1000 GBP a month)?

That is one of the documents the caseworker will use.

I am not aware of specific monetary requirements.
It sounds like you were adequately funded.

Frankly the EHIC is more significant - & have you have that covered.
