Having children during spouse visa

Post by Y123m » Wed Mar 16, 2016 6:49 pm

Hi, if i were to marry a foreign citizen in the UK and for her to get a spouse visa, will i be able to have children during the visa without it having an affect on the £18,600 financial requirement. Will it still be £18,600 when extending the visa after 2 and half years?

It depends on whether they are entitled to British citizenship.

Wouldnt they be british citizens as they would be born here? If thats the case, would the financial requirement stay at £18,600?

Are you British or do you have settled status? i.e ILR or PR?

Then any children born will be British and not included in the income calculation.
