Hello everyone!
I am preparing to apply for the Fiance settlement visa, and I feel confident it will go well. However, something has made me feel uneasy and hope someone here might be able to asist.
The last two times I tried to visit my Fiance in the UK (I am American, btw) I was denied entry because they were not satesfied I was only visiting. They advised I come back with either a visitors visa to prove I am visiting, or a settlement visa to settle. Well, I had planned to settle anyway naturaly, so ive been working on it ever sense. My last denied entry was January, so it has been over 6 months.
It's a nerve wreaking process, wondering if your work you put together will satesfy the immegration officer. I was hoping if I post what we've got, someone here might be able to advice from experience. I left out the obvious pieces, such as my passport for example. Here's what we got:
*Fiance is working two part time jobs with no scheduling conflicts, will provide evidence from employers the jobs are permenant, length of stay, pay, etc.
*My Fiance will have some savings, I will have the most at about $10,000.
*My Fiance is on the waiting list for a counsil house, so we will provide evidence of that, and evidence his parents will take us in until we get our house, and evidence of their tenancy and that they can support their house.
*We plan to only get registered, and will show how much it costs to get registered, where we plan to get registered, and that we have budgeted the cost of the rings. We plan to have a really nice party to celebrate, and will also show a budget for the cost of that.
Also, as a last snipit. Will they want my Fiance's actual passport, or a copy? It says his passport on the website, but my E-mail from booking my interview said a copy.
I appreciate any help anyone can offer! I had tried their $3 a minute line a few times, but the person on the phone never spoke good english, and didn't seem to know what I was talking about. A big waste of money, to be honest.
