EEA family permit Vs Family Visit Visa

Hey experts

I have a question that I want to runt through to get your insights.

I am a british citizen living in the UK. My mom is Indian and will be visiting me in April for 2 weeks. She hasn't visited the UK before. I was looking at the options. I am confused between the EEA permit and family visit visa.
My question is:
1. which one is applicable? EEA family or family visit visa? : (my mom has job back in India and I will only be covering her accommodation and usual living expense for her stay in the UK)
2. Which one is quicker and would also be useful in the future?

EEA family permit is only for EEA citizens, unfortunately a British citizen cannot use this route to bring a family member into the UK.
