Cost of converting Fiancee to settlement visa?

Post by Newlife1 » Fri Nov 16, 2007 12:37 pm

Hi,

Can anybody help?

How much does it cost to convert fiancee visa to a settlement one? It look like it costs the same for the fiance and settlement visa. If so, it make more sense to get the settlement visa straightway if the conversion cost is significant, right?

Thanks.

Once you are in the UK on the fiancee visa it will cost £395 to switch it to a settlement visa.

Thanks.
I am in the UK with a visitor visa, but getting married and going back to my country to get a fiancee visa or spouse visa at the end of this year. They both cost £500. If I get a fiancee visa, it will cost addtional £395 pounds comparing to get a spouse visa in the first place. Is it right?

If you are marrying in the UK then going home you can't get a fiancee visa anyway.

I wish I could get married without leaving the UK. Unfornately, my visa expires in one month. I have to go back to my country to get married or get a fiancee visa to come back.
Thank you for your help.
