Dual National Correct Passport Use

Post by esg1692 » Sat Apr 30, 2016 6:26 pm

Hi all, I'm a US/UK passport holder in the US and will be traveling to Russia in a couple of months. I'd just like to make sure I use both passports correctly. I'll have two stops before St. Petersburg: Columbus - NYC, NYC - Helsinki, Helsinki - St. Petersburg, with the latter two both operated by Finnair. I must enter Russia on my US passport and I know I must show it to US Customs upon departure, but can I use my UK passport to enter and leave Finland in order to avoid foreign immigration lines?

Yes, of course you can, easier to enter Finland on your EU passport.
