Common mistakes made by Tier 2 Extension applications

Hi,

I am going to apply for Tier 2 Extension next week hope everything goes fine, but I am really paranoid and got a feeling that I didn't researched enough and my visa will be rejected making me loose £4000.

I have a question and suggestion as well.

My question is, what are the common mistakes people make because of which Tier 2 Extensions refuses ?

Suggestion : Can we have a Thread pinned on top, which will list all these common mistakes please ?

ask your sponsor for a printout of your CoS and check all details in it, especially that the skill level and salary meet the requirements.
