EEA EFM application as an unmarried partner of eea national

Post by nirvan9845 » Tue May 03, 2016 11:40 pm

I have made an eea efm application recently. My partner is an eea national, we have been together for almost 2 years( 22 months),living together since june last year. During the period she was away, she visited me 2-3 times for a week each time. She was in her final year of school at the time got in relationship and that is the reason we have been living together for less period of time. We have a future together and have planed for the wedding soon in the future. I was married before as well though.
We have provided all sorts of letters and documents required for the application. for eg:-cover letter, tenancy agreements on both our names, council tax on both our names, bank statements , letters from hmrc, letters from electrol office, divorce paper, letter from our previous flat mate where we shared flat for few months before we got our own place, employment contract of my partner and mine ,letter from from my partner employer , pictures of us together and with friends etc
My query is, will all those documents be sufficient for RC or do we even have a chance ?

Not sure you have lived in a relationship 'akin to marriage' for 2 years and you've only lived together about 10 months (although under the cleaner, purer EU law that should be acceptable).

You're in hands of the caseworker and noone can really say; it's always good to have a Plan B in your back pocket though.

Got in relationship since july 2014, got engaged on 1st jan 2015, as she was in the final year of her school we decided she should finish it before moving here with me even though she wanted to move straight away. She graduated on 12th june 2015 and moved here on 16th june 2015. We have included all this information in the cover letter. I don't know what else we could have done really.
And would you please explain a lil bit about plan B? I didn't get it. Thanks
