NL Residence Card (Partner EU Citizen) Holder Travel alone

Post by simonpattison » Sun May 08, 2016 6:55 pm

Hi I am a South African passport holder currently living with my British partner in the Netherlands. I have a Netherlands Residence permit (Partner of EU Citizen basis). My sister lives in the UK and I would like to visit her on my own unaccompanied by my British partner. I have a valid UK family visitors visa which I have used for multiple entries (but always accompanied by my Partner). My question is "Am I permitted to travel to the UK on my own from the Netherlands and return to the Netherlands (going just for a weekend)?"

If the UK visit visa is still valid you may use that to enter UK without being accompanied as it will have been issued to you in your own right.
