EEA Spouse Higher Education rights.

Post by mesi92 » Tue May 10, 2016 4:54 pm

Hello, I was wondering what rights does the non-EEA spouse of an EU national have when it comes to paying fees in a UK University. I have applied to a Uni recently and they classed me as an overseas student. I have been in the UK for about 5 years, including on 2 previous Student Visas (Tier 4) but now I have my 5 year EEA Family Member Residence Card.

The 5-year visa states at the back "European Right of Residence". So quite simply put, what fees does the spouse of the EU national have to pay to a University here in the UK ? Partner is exercising treaty rights (work) . Any other information, please ask and I will reply.

I do hope this is the correct location to post this topic.

#6 I think, if you've been ordinarily resident for 3 years or more (& sounds like you may have).
