certified copy of registration certificate

Hi all,

I was just wondering where and how I can obtain a 'certified copy' of my registration certificate to include in my proposed civil partners VAF4 - could I include the original instead? it's not like I really need it for anything else.. or would you strongly advise against that.

I just found out that the post office does it for 7 (for up to 3 documents)

I don't think that these copies will be accepted by the ECO. If you don't want to sent the original you should get a copy certified by a solicitor or a notary public.

Hi Victoria,

I don't mind including the original, if they will return it.. will they return it? In general, do they keep any of the documents or do they return them all to you.. does anybody know?

They will return it, and they should also return originals of bank statements, tenancy agreements, pay slips. They will keep copies and things such as support letters.
