Tier 2 General - 35K threshold - Bonus included?

Post by bashiq » Sat May 14, 2016 12:51 am

I am currently on Tier 2 General due for ILR in May 2017. My salary then will be with the expected hike around 34,750 ie I will be short by around 250 pounds for meeting 35K threshold. I get a yearly variable bonus around 1600 pounds extra. Can I include this bonus with my salary to show I meet 35K salary threshold?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

For the purpose of ILR via Tier 2 Visa, Variable bonuses cannot be considered as part of the annual salary. Only guaranteed bonuses can be considered. You'd be better off asking your employer to increase the salary by another £250.
