Tier 2 employer while having shared ownership of my company?

I am aware that this topic has been answered in this forum some time ago (e.g. http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 51793.html). But I just want to clarify and see if it still applies the same in 2016.

The question is whether I can continue working for my sponsor of Tier 2 while being the one of the founders of my own company with having the share of more than %10?

I ask more than %10 since I came across this post 'http://www.justanswer.co.uk/law/7mky0-h ... sible.html' which indicates that with Tier 2 visa you cannot have more than %10 share of your own company, is this true?

P.S I would not be working for my own company while I am on Tier 2, just having shared ownership is the question.

The 10% ownership restriction only applies if that company were to sponsor you under T2.

So the official ownership signing contract would have no effect on my Tier 2 visa.

Do I need to notify Home Office about it?
