Advice on FLR(M) and settlement in the UK

Post by TR0088 » Thu May 19, 2016 12:15 pm

I am a British National by birth and my wife is Indian. My wife was in the UK for 2 years on a student visa, then a post study work visa before we were married, her current spouse visa expires in October this year. I understand the criteria required for further leave to remain to be granted, however I have gone back into studying, working a part time job, which does not meet the minimum salary of £18,600 I need to be earning for a successful application. My wife works full time on a salary of £27,000pa, is this going to be enough to meet the financial requirments?

When and where did she initially apply for her spouse leave?
How long was it granted for?
Any children?

Your wife's salary is probably more than enough, unless you have more than 2 children.
