Child Benefit and Child tax credit

Post by naa » Wed May 25, 2016 3:49 pm

Hello everyone,
I leave in the same house with my uncle who is a EEA national. German to be precise. My family and I are on a 2.5 years residence permit with no recourse to public funds. Am not working at present since I have just had a baby. My uncle supports us financially. Can he claim child benefit and tax credits for my children? If yes, would it affect us when we come to renew our stay? Please advice. My uncle wants to do if it for the kids but I always tell him to wait. Thanks for reading

What 2.5 year 'residence permit' are you on exactly? Do you have a visas issued under UK immigration Rules?

Edit: Trawling through your previous posts I can see that you don't have resident permits, you have visas issued outside of the Immigration Rules. No, your German uncle can't claim child benefit and child tax credits on your behalf.
