Tier 2 Visa Expires Soon

Post by harshalv » Sat May 28, 2016 12:58 pm

Dear All,

I came to UK in July 2013 on a Tier 2 General visa sponsored by my ex company. I left my company on May 2016 and my visa is due to expire soon on 5 June 2016.

I have secured a job in another company and they are willing to sponsor me. My interview happened on 24 May 2016. However, the problem is that my new company may not have enough time to submit the sponsorship paperwork before my current visa expires (i.e. 5 June 2016).

Is there any chance that Home Office will still allow me to stay in the UK beyond 5 June 2016 and will consider my application even if it is submitted after my current visa expires? I spoke to a guy from UK Visas and Immigration contact centre and he suggested that my "new employer" should send in a letter alongwith my application stating that the legal process took time and that I had secured job before my visa expired.
