If he is a director of his own company (and presumably an employee too) he is legally bound to issue payslips to himself and register the company with HRMC on the RTI system so they can see the salary/PAYE payments being made as they are issued. Being a director is not self-employment, he is a regular employee of a Ltd Company irrespective of who owns it.AshleySilver wrote: My husband is self-employed and is a director of his own company.
