TB Test

Post by alia84 » Mon May 30, 2016 9:17 pm

Hi all,

Hoping someone can shed some light on my query...

I am in the process of applying for a UK spouse visa for my wife to join me here in Scotland. She is from Iran and currently living their at the moment. We have all the documents in place except for the TB test certificate.

The GOV website (https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa) gives a list of approved clinics for the TB test to be done, however Iran is not listed in the list. Does that mean she will have to go to a neighboring country to take the test or shes doesn't have to take the test based on the following:

"You won’t need a TB test if any of the following apply:
you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months."

Any advice, thoughts or comments is greatly appreciated.

Thanks you
Ali

Not necessary as Iran isn't on the list of countries where a TB test is required for a spouse visa application.
