FLR M Accommodation- Living with parent

Post by Rawat1011 » Mon May 30, 2016 9:34 pm

For my FLR M the case officer has asked for further explanation with any relevant evidence.

"In your application from, you claim to reside at 11 High Road, however all the evidence of correspondence you have submitted indicates that you and your sponsor reside at 10 High Road. Please provide a satisfactory explanation with any relevant evidence."

All the correspondence are for 11 High Road because this property is jointly owned by husband and his 2 brother's, I have submitted the mortgage statements, council tax, utility bills, bank statements. As my husband's brothers wife & their children already live at this property. Me living at that property would have meant overcrowding.

Therefore my husband and I live with my husband's mum at 10 High Road, which is just next door. My husband's mum own's this property and I have sent council tax and utility bills on my husband's mum's name along with a accommodation letter support from my husband's mum confirming we have been living at this address since I got my entry clearance visa and she is happy to further accommodate us.

The only think not mentioned in the letter is she did not want any correspondence for us coming to her property hence why all our correspondence are still for 11 High Road.

Can someone please help me as what other evidence I can provide to support my application?

Thanks

Why didn't your mother-in-law want correspondence addressed to you at her address where you were living?
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Think of it from the overworked caseworker's point of view,

It is not easy or obvious to the caseworker even if you think its clear because the houses just happen to be next door to each other.
How can the caseworker protect you if she doesn't know exactly where you live.

Claiming one address and using another is bizarre,
By sending evidence for the wrong house caseworker clearly thinks you live there, #11.

Keep it simple! Decide where you really live. Submit evidence for that place.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.

Property my husband jointly owns with his brothers 11 High Road, they currently live there with their family, living at that property would have mean it would be over crowded.

My mother in law live at 10 High Road and she needs looking after as she is quite elderly and has health issues, both my husband and me are living with her at 10 High Road. The reason she did not allow us to change the correspondence address as she get annoyed with too many junk mail/posts and did not want any further mails on our names coming to her property.

I agree would have been easier if all the my husband and my correspondence such as utility bills, bank statements all for 10 High Road.

Getting my mother-in-law to allow me to have use her address for all correspondence will take time, having to re-apply will take more then 6 months, as I would need to change my husbands & my utility bills, bank statements then they will need proof of 6 month, my entry clearance visa has already expired. This would mean me going back to India and then re-applying again.

Does anyone have any suggestions, what I should do, so my current FLR M application does not get declined based on the correspondence address situation?
