BRP collection date query

Hi all

I have been successful in gaining a TIER 5 (YOUTH MOB) visa in the UK. I've recently received my decision letter, however the BRP collection date listed on there has struck me as a little bit odd.

I have permission to enter on my visa from July 12 2016, when I will be arriving in the UK. However the letter goes on to say that my BRP will be available for collection from 19 July 2016 - a full week after I arrive. This seems strange, as I'm supposed to collect it within 10 days of arriving in the UK. It wouldn't be an issue, except that I'm planning to be in Paris at that time - in fact I'd already booked my EuroStar ticket.

I've sent off an enquiry to UKVI and after receiving very generic advice the first two times, they have now escalated my query. However this process will take a while by the sound of it.

So, long story short, I have two points.

1. Is it normal that your BRP wouldn't be available until a week after you arrive in the UK?
2. If so, is there anything I can do so that it's available earlier?

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm quite worried. Thanks in advance.
