URGENT-When to apply for Spouse Visa after Marriage

Hi all,


Please help me to find out the answer to my query. I am going to marry a UK national after knowing him for a month or so. My question is that can He apply for my spouse visa right after marriage or we need some time to wait in order to show them the proof of our long-term communication?

Please also let me know if there is any requirement on time frame to know your spouse in order to apply for spouse visa for UK.

I don't think that there is a requirement for a minimum period of marriage. There is a requirement to show

E-ECP.2.6. The relationship between the applicant and their partner must be genuine and subsisting.

ECP.2.10. The applicant and partner must intend to live together permanently in the UK.

Vinny is correct. You will have to submit strong evidence of a genuine relationship, including how you keep in touch when you are apart. Was your marriage arranged by your family?
