Tier 5 to Tier 2

I see,
Would it be a problem if I am planning to apply for a Tier 2 next August 2016 while my Tier 5 Exchange will expire in August 2017. I looked into the Tier 2 policy guidance and couldn't find anything about switching from Tier 5 Exchange to Tier 2 General.
