re entry as a spouse help

Post by user882 » Sat Jun 04, 2016 8:09 am

hi, i was student in uk.

last year when i applied for a masters equivalent degree, i was refused visa extension on the ground that i would be over my cap period by a month( which looked bit unfair to me but a rule is a rule :/ ) . i tried appeal and reappeal two times in about 3 months, but looking at the scenarios and deciding that my appeal was not going to succeed, i decided to leave uk. i wrote to homeoffice and called voluntary leave, to leave uk.

as far as im aware, i was under appeal and reappeal, but im not sure if i will be counted as a overstayer or illegal.

recently after a year me and my girlfriend decided to get married, she is uk citizen.

my queries is what sort of difficulty will i be facing if i have any, when i apply to uk as a spouse . Will my immigration history create any hindrance. I made sure that i was not staying illegally while in uk, nor i was ever involved in any illegal activity. but my last few months of failed appealing while in uk is a concern to me

please share your opinions and knowhow

thanks ppl
