HELP: Discretionary Leave to Remain FLR(o)

Post by Obi kaman » Tue Jun 07, 2016 12:30 pm

Hi

I won my case at the Upper Tribunal for Article 8 back in 2008

I was facing deportation prior to the above as I had criminal conviction (nothing serious)

Soon after Upper tribunal outcome, I was given 2 x Six months DLR visas and then a 3 year DLR VISA Biometric Resident Card.

This will expire soon so I've applied for extension via FLR(o) right on time (28 days) prior to expiry, however I have received a letter from the Home Office saying:

"You have requested leave to remain outside the immigration rules which are complex in nature. As such it falls outside our normal service standards for deciding leave to remain applications. Please be assured that we will make decision on your case as quickly as possible."

Anyone have real advice on this? or have been in the same situation? or knows how long will take?

Many thanks

That is perfectly normal. Everyone receives this message.
