Hi, azkhan
i don't think you have a choice here! you must supply hard facts, ie the degree certificate as spelt out in guidance notes to filling the forms. i am not aware of any exceptions. u just might have to wait till it's awarded. 8)

In India we get Provisional certificate and Course completion certificate from University, and final certificate we get at the time of convocation.

I think if you have provisional certificate then you can produce as a valid certificate.

All the best

Original Final Degree certificate required for HSMP....

Incidentally for SEGS applicants - HO is willing to accept transcripts, letters from tutors/lecturers as proof of having completed a course - Double standards

i know they ask for final degree certificate, and with the SEGS i guess it is because they are only dealing with UK institutions so it should be easy enough for them to verify, as well as the for the fact that they know that most universities only have their graduations some months after the end of academic year. because of this it would mean that none of those would graduating will be able to apply for SEGS programme.

Hemant30, an explanation to your friend getting acceptance without degree certificate could be that he reached the 65 point mark without needing the academic points, so if say he claimed 80 points or more, maybe he got all the other points bar the 15 or 25 for the degree.
