Spouse Visa: Studying in Europe

Post by adamidris » Mon Jun 13, 2016 8:36 am

Hey everyone,

I'm a UK citizen currently doing my bachelors degree abroad in Asia. I finish in 2 years and then want to pursue my Masters in Europe (most probably Germany or Holland). I am currently engaged to a girl with a Pakistani passport whom I will marry once I complete my studies.

When I leave to do my masters, what is the process required for her to come and live with me there? I don't mind going on my own, having her join me afterwards, but I'd prefer for us to both go there together.

Thanks in advance!

Adam

The landscape may be very different in two years time.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I totally agree, a lot can change in 2 years time.

Just a general inquiry: As it stands now, would I have to go and live there first and have her join me afterwards, or would she be able to travel and live there with me straight away?

Move into Europe together or you go ahead and wife joins later are both options (for a British citizen at the current time).
