DCPRs need to be issued 'as soon as possible' after application, which could obviously mean anything. After 6 months you can follow up and get your MP involved.
Someone I know recently waited 5 and a half months for a DCPR; straight forward case; 5 years working full-time for the same company...this used to take approx. 3-5 weeks a few years back. But I do feel for the poor caseworkers who are probably completely overworked now with so many applications coming in before the referendum and also now that a DCPR is a requirement for citizenship...
