Asylum Seeker asking about divorce or separation with spouse

Iam an asylum seeker with my family where iam the major applicant and my wife and kids are dependent.
We are now staying with my brother and not getting any benefit from the Home office whether accommodation or financial . I would like to know if I want to separate or divorce with my wife :

1) Will that affect our claim case
2) Can I separate my case from my wife and kids
3) We still did not have an interview with the case worker, will we have it as a family or individual if we divorce or separate
4) If I want to activate separation or divorce what shall I do and who I should notify
5) If we separate or divorce then my wife and kids would require accommodation and financial aids , so what are they supposed to do and contact who
6) Is it better if we stay together and wait for our asylum case claim
