Tier 2 general extension unrestricted cos allocation-urgent

Post by mems » Fri Jun 17, 2016 11:58 am

Hello,

My Tier 2 (General) VISA is expiring on 24th June 2016. In order for me to apply for Tier 2 (General) extension my employer created a CoS (based on previous CoS) through SMS on 1st June when he encountered this error which basically asked him to apply for annual allocation of unrestricted CoS which he did immediately. ( He didn't know about annual allocations at all - didn't receive any email from HO about it ever)

Application for Request renewal of annual CoS/CAS allocations was submitted on 1st June. He did not get any reply from them until 9th June when he sent business help desk an email asking for an update. They came back on 13th saying The service standard for such requests is 18 weeks.. Panicked he called them and told them about the urgency, they asked to reply to that email with my current visa's scanned copy and asking them to prioritise it. He sent it on 13th, received a reply on 15th June saying ..raised your request for priority treatment with the Sponsor Licensing Unit for their consideration. Please note that we cannot guarantee they will expedite the request as this is entirely at their discretion. That said, you should hopefully be hearing from them shortly.

It's been 3 days since, and we haven't heard anything from them yet, nor is the allocation done on employers SMS.

I have gone through several threads here but did not find how long does it take for allocation to be done after the request is sent for priority consideration ?

My VISA is expiring on the next Friday, 24th and it is slightly worrying for me and my wife who is on dependant with me - her visa is also expiring at the same time and we both need to extend it. All we need is the CoS but worried if that will be allocated before 24th. If not, what are our options ?

Any help or suggestions would help a great deal.

Thanks.

Hi!

Thanks for your post with details. My company also applied for U-COS 3 weeks before but still haven't got any response from them! They said it may take 2-3 weeks when applied. My Visa will expire on Mid-August. I only need the COS like u. I am really worried about it.

I will talk to my employer regarding priority consideration. Can you please let us know which email address we should email to request for priority consideration. It will be really helpful if you let us know, please.

Waiting for your response.

Thanks

Try this email address

SponsorshipPBSEnquiries@UKBA.gsi.gov.uk

My sponsor has used this email address in the past for any COS related communication.

I have also included some responses from one of my old thread where my sponsor had an email from UKBA.

Hi again tckraju,

Hope you doing ok.. Need help again please!
I submitted the application but i think i put the wrong salary on my application which doesn't match with the new rules!

if they reject my visa then can my employer immediately issued me a new COS ? they have other two COS allocation remaining on the SMS. ( other two employees need it in sep and jan, and they can get it for them later as its not urgent at the moment)

So, can they issue me a NEW COS from those two? Do they need to tell anything to UKVI about it prior assigning the COS through SMS portal?
