Accommodation requirements Spouse Visa

Post by skidf1 » Sun Jun 19, 2016 1:02 pm

Hello,

My wife is applying for her spouse/settlement visa to join me in the UK. I am a UK citizen and meet the financial requirements. I am only worried about the accommodation requirements; I currently live in a 2-bed flat share in London with one more person. We both share the rent and I pay the council tax and all the bills; the documents of which I have already provided. Will this be a problem? What documents can I provide?
Your advice will be appreciated. Cheers!!

Should be adequate.

Is tenancy agreement just on your name ? Shared accommodation is fine as long as its not overcrowded and you provide valid tenancy agreement along with coincil tax/utility bills on your name .House inspection report is recommended when you are living in shared property

The tenancy agreement is the joint name of my flatmate and I. But I have received a letter from my landlord that my wife can live in the flat. will the letter suffice? Do I need to get any other documents?

The letter should also include particulars of the property and confirm that it won't be overcrowded.
