Tier-2 General Extension Duration

Hi,

I am currently working on Tier-2 General visa,

Start Date:- 11/01/2014
End Date:- 15/01/2017

My Employer would like to extend my visa for another 3-years. Is it possible for me to apply for another 3-years or will I get only for 2-years +14days?

You can extend until a total of 6 years.
