Qualifying time - Irish naturalisation

Post by tresgoya » Tue Jun 21, 2016 12:42 am

Hi,

EEA citizen here.

I did read the rules but I'm a bit confused as the calculator of qualifying time shows a different outcome than what is written on the site.

Could i apply for naturalisation if my time spent in the country was in between:
Nov 2004 - June 2009
Sept 2016 - Sept 2017

or will I lose the almost 5 years I've had between 2004-09? According to what I read on the requirements I would, but when I put it into the calculator it says it's fine as qualifying time.

Please help. ta

According to my understand you have lost your 5 years stay from 2004 to 2009, and you will have to start living and counting time from now on for 5 years to qualify again. :)
I am because we are.
