Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum but figured you guys might be able to help. In short, although i'm usually very clued up on immigration and processes for some reason the NCS application system slipped pst my radar and I didn't see this option until after I sent the docs off.
Basically, I just wanted to see if anyone had docs returned and how that process went. I'm toying with the idea of doing it as we may now need to travel in early August and my wife will need her BRP and Passport to travel. I did see on the return docs form this little paragraph
"if I am the main applicant or another applicant and I am subject to immigration control (i.e. not settled or an EEA national or the family member of an EEA national) and I have requested my travel document for identity purposes I understand that if I use those documents to travel outside the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man my application may be refused, voided or withdrawn and the fee will not be refunded. I may also be unable to re-enter the UK"
Would this mean that returning the docs would delay the process and we wouldn't be able to travel anyway?
I don't want to have the docs returned if we can't use them for travel. My wife is from the USA so not from the EU.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated here.
Cheers everyone
Chris
