Help regarding CoS start date and application

Hi there,

My employers just issued a CoS valid until September, but the Start Date on it was set to July 1st.
The max possible intended travel date is 14 days after the start date, hence, July 15th.

I am sure I will not manage to even apply for the visa before July 15th.

Is there a way to change the Start Date? That start date is not viable at all for me, in all senses.

If not, is there a problem if my "intended travel date" is July 15th and I am applying only in August? Looks weird to me, so I am quite worried.

the cos once issued can not be amended.
you can ask your employer to add a note to the cos (this is done on sms), and that should be fine.
make sure you apply before the 3 months expiry of cos.
