Spelling mistake in FLR(M) postal application

Post by mysteron69 » Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:46 pm

Hi

We submitted a visa (fiance to spouse) application by post from the UK. Today we received a letter confirming receipt but noticed they have spelled the middle name of the applicant incorrectly. It was definitely spelled correctly on the application form. I have tried to find a phone number or email address to report the mistake and get it corrected but have been unsuccessful - get recorded message along the lines of '...if your application is within the scheduled service standard you will have to wait.....' Can anyone advise on how to get this sorted out please. We don't want the application being processed with the wrong name. Thanks

Hi, on the letter confirming the receipt I'd send a letter to the address of the home office that's on there providing your address, date of birth, birthplace, full name and reference number confirming the correct name of the applicant. Alternatively when you call the home office choose the option outside of standard service times and speak to someone and if they can't help they should be able to point you in the right direction of what to do.
