Ancestral Visa doccuments

Post by Rich ZA » Mon Dec 03, 2007 1:54 pm

I am looking to confirm the documentation needed to apply for the ancestral visa.

1. Grandparents birth certificate
2. Grandparents marrige certificate
3. Parents birth certificate
4. Childs birth certificate

Is there a requirements for a parental marrige certificate?

How long is it taking to process ancestral visa applications?

The guide for ancestral visas says "as a guide you should" rather than you must, hence my question.

I am applying for the ancestral visa on my paternal line, is the marrige certificate only relevent if the application in along the maternal line where you would need to prove evidence of a name change following marrige?
