Travelling abroad with foreign passport

Hello everyone,

This has probably been asked before but after doing a search I couldn't find an answer. I have been living in the UK for the past 15 years anh have never had any desire to travel abroad, I received my indefinite leave to remain around 9 years ago however have not yet applied for citizenship or a British passport. I am originally from Iran and still have my iranian passport. My question is, can I use my iranian passport to go on holiday abroad and will I face any issues upon re-entering without a British passport or citizenship?

Not as long as you are able to show you have a valid ILR.
