Spouse visa appointment

Post by Alisaeed » Sat Jun 25, 2016 1:46 am

Hi,
I m spouse visa holder and gonna to apply for my 2nd extension of spouse visa.
My spouse visa due expire on 29th July 2016 and want to apply through premium service for same day decision as i did before for first extension but this time i cant see any available appointment for 1st July 2016 as i need to apply before 28 days expire my spouse visa.
My question is that if i get appointment on 4th or 5th or 6th or 7th July 2016 so would it be ok as my spouse visa due expire on 29th July 2016. I am confused if I couldn't apply on 1st July 2016 as before 28 days of visa expires.
Please can anyone clear my confusion.
Thanks
Ali

You may apply for an extension at any time before your leave expires.

However, when applying for ILR, you may apply no sooner than 28 days before the completion of your qualifying period and preferably before your leave expires.

If you apply for an extension too early, then you may not have sufficient leave to cover your qualifying period for ILR. Then you may have to apply for another extension before expiry of leave.
