Tier 2 ICT dependent visa extension

Hi,

I'm planning to extend my ICT Longterm visa, this month. It is valid till Sep 2016, my wife has a dependent visa but she is not in UK with me, she will join me in Aug. I want to know -
1. Can she travel on her old visa, which is valid till Sep 2016, while I have the extended visa.
2. If yes, then once she is in UK can she apply for her visa extension ?

1. I feel it may not work. If you have already extended your visa, your old visa will be shown as cancelled when she's at immigration. Also, she will not have the new dependent visa with her. However, she can travel if you've not applied for the extension OR your extension application is under process (i.e. not yet decided) since the current visa will be valid.

2. Yes, that's possible.

Regarding your answer on point 1, can I get the dependent visa extended from outside UK ? Or what's the solution if my wife wants to travel after my visa extension comes ?

Yes, she can apply for a new dependent visa from home country.
