October Naturalisation. What is going on?

Hi all,

My husband applied for his British Naturalisation 20th October 2015. We used our local NCS. However we have not received an outcome yet. Biometrics were enrolled as per requested but why are they taking so long? They haven't asked for any additional information or requested any sort of documents so I wonder what is delaying our application. Anyone in a similiar situation? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There's no rhyme or reason to it. You can't read anything into it. Its nothing personal.
Some members have been waiting since 2014 or early 2015.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think we could phone up and request an update at all? My husband's Pakistani passport has expired therefore we were hoping not to renew if we could get his British passport.

If you get any answer it will probably be something like "its in the queue" or "its in processing".
Its really just a case of sit tight and wait.
