Proof of language/life in the uk

Post by appleismyname » Wed Jun 29, 2016 3:27 pm

HI Everyone =)

Im applying for citizenship in October and I would really appreciate your advice in regard to proving my language skills.

I graduated from MMU in 2013 in contemporary art. So, do I need to get NARIC to approve of the degree as a valid qualification ? To me, it would seem kind of pointless, but I need to clarify. I called Naric and they said it should be ok, but to contact home office. Home office is not answering phone calls :(

This is the part of the application that Im referring to :

have a speaking and listening quali cation in English at B1 CEFR or higher, that is on the Home Of ce’s list of recognised tests and was taken at an approved test centre (Go to question 1.23)
Form AN Application form (version 01/16)

Or
I have obtained an academic quali cation deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the United Kingdom and:
i. UK NARIC has con rmed that the quali cation was taught or researched in English; or
ii. the quali cation was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (other than Canada);

Hmm, bit of an English comprehension test in itself isn't it :wink:
