Tier 2 ICT extension timeline

Post by smb2015 » Wed Jun 29, 2016 10:40 pm

Hello,

My visa is about to expire in Sep-16 and i'm applying for extension on 1-july, but not bit clear on the timelines of when I will get the new visa. Will it be 4 weeks, 6 weeks or 8 weeks. The HO website states it as 8 weeks as max period but i have heard that it is edge cases. Can someone please comment how much approx timeline should i consider till i get my new visa.
There is also a priority service in which we get the visa within 10 days and have to pay 400 pound extra. If the normal process is too long (more than 4 weeks) then this will help me to take a decision and go with priority service. Anything more than 4 weeks is a long time for me.

Anyone who has recently extended tier 2 ICT visa please share your experience on timelines.

If all your paperwork is fine and there are no issues, then you should get your new BRP in 4-5 weeks. We recently got it extended for one of my team member. However, as you said, no one can guarantee on the processing time.
