Procedure for surrender certificate & OCI

Hi,
Good morning. I live in Kent. I am in the process of applying for surrender certificate for my 6 month old son and followed by OCI application.

I gather the process has changed recently and any info from guys who applied recently will be very helpful.

I renewed my 5 1/2 year old elder son's British passport and also gather need for renewal of OCI. Any info on this is highly appreciated.
