Registration Certificate and Civil Partnership/Marriage

I am Croatian citizen who is soon moving to Glasgow to find a job and live with my partner who is French, but has been working and living in Glasgow for almost 2 years now. Since Croatian citizens are still required to obtain a licence certification to be legally allowed to work in the UK, would I be exempt from obtaining one if my partner and I step into a civil partnership/marriage?
