PR - 5 year Qualifying Period but sponsor was unemployed

Post by briancoutinho » Thu Jul 07, 2016 12:45 pm

My wife eea portuguese sponsored non eea family member in 2009. Later non eea applied for 5 yr resident permit.
After 5 yrs renewed resident permit in dec 2015.
My wife was unemployed from 2011 till 2014. Started work in 2015 and later applied for residence card as a qualified person.
Can i as a non eea family member with continious work history apply for permanent residence.
Can you please advice me on this.

To avoid confusion & jumbled responses, I have moved your question to its own thread (this one).
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.

No, as the non-EEA family member, your own economic activity is immaterial.

What was your wife doing between 2011 and 2014 when she was unemployed?
