Hello I am preparing for my UK visa for FLR FP 10 years route.
I am currently living in the UK with FLR M visa since 2014 after married to british citizen,
and this visa will expire in end of August this year.
But unfortunately my husband and I can't meet financial requirement to extend current visa,
we decided to apply for FLR FP.
We are both unemployed for last 2 years, we get freelance works(probably once in a 2 months)
to maintain our life, and my husband receiving job seeker allowance at the moment.
I believe for FLR FP, we don't need to meet any financial requirement, is it right?
Another concern is we have to show there are “insurmountable circumstances” preventing us from living outside the UK, and I am not sure my reason is strong enough.
So after my father's death, only family member living in my home country Japan is my mother,
and all of my siblings are living outside of Japan, one in US,one in Thailand.
After fell out with my mother, we are estranged.
Also my husband and I were in Japan when the Great East Japan Earthquake happened in 2011,
we have terrible fear to live in Japan.
And simply my husband was born and grew up in the UK, all his life and family/friends are here,
So it is very difficult to live outside of the UK.
and I have been living in the UK for 7 years and 4 months, I have my life here too.
I am pretty sure each case is considered on an individual basis by HO so it's hard to say
my reason is enough or not.
But if anybody has succeeded FLR FP as family member/spouse, please share your experience and “insurmountable circumstances”.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
