Visitors health check

Post by devmanda1ia » Wed Jul 13, 2016 9:17 pm

Hi,

I am requesting members' views urgently.

I am on ILR in the UK and have gone through visitors visa application successfully for my parents to visit us for a few months and spend some time.

My father was diagnosed with TB a few months ago and has gone through the treatment. He is still on the medication but we have got final check up done and Doctor has given a go ahead to travel.

My question is 'does he need to be carrying anything with him to allow entry once in the UK border'? Is there any restriction or medical check up required to clear the entry at the heathrow border?

Will be grateful for your advise asap.

Dev

I think they ask for TB certificate only if you are coming to the uk for more than 6 Months. Its not required for tourist

Thank you

Is there anyway to confirm it for sure?

Has any other member had any similar situation?

Is he contagious? It would be irresponsible for him to travel if he was.
