What do you mean by 'the best solution'?

Did you apply under the 5 year route or 10 year long residence? When does your wife's visa expire and how long has she been on a PBS Dependent visa?

In which case she will have to apply on form FLR(M). This will re-set her immigration clock for a 5 year route to ILR - 2.5 years + 2.5 years.
In addition to the visa fee of £811 (postal) she will also have to pay the NHS surcharge of £500. She requires A1 level English. If she applies in person at a PSC the visa fee will be £1311 + the NHS surcharge.

I suggest that your wife doesn't wait for the expiry of her current visa before applying for FLR(M). The sooner she does this, the sooner she will start her 5 year clock for ILR. If you had applied for your own ILR after 5 years of residence and not 10 years, she could have stayed on a PBS Dependent visa.

It won't if you claim child tax credits & working tax credits in JOINT NAMES
Child benefit in your name only.
Housing benefit can only be awarded to you as a single person with child or children. Your wife can't be included in the calculation and you must inform the local authority that your wife has no recourse to Public funds.
